This is the purified form of whey protein concentrate.
Basically, the protein that is collected as protein concentrate is purified again to reduce the levels of carbohydrates and fats.
Additionally it absorbs more quickly than any other protein.

Tara gum is a natural ingredient from the tara tree, a plant commonly found in South America and Africa. Studies have shown it to be safe for human consumption. New Zealand and Australia Food Standards approved it as did the World Health Organization. However, the results of these studies were not entirely positive, as tara gum is indigestible and may cause various problems when consumed in high quantities (>5%)
Inulin and oligofructose are natural food ingredients commonly found in varying percentages in dietary foods.
They are present in >36,000 plant species (Carpita et al. 1989).
In fact, it has been estimated that Americans consume on average 1–4 g of inulin and oligofructose per day and Europeans average 3–10 g/d (Van Loo et al. 1995).
Inulin and oligofructose are present as plant storage carbohydrates in a number of vegetables and plants including wheat, onion, bananas, garlic and chicory.
Sunflower Extract has antioxidant and anti-free radical properties that has been used for skin and hair care.

One reason for ashwagandha’s reputation as a general energy-promoting, disease-preventing tonic may be its effect on the immune system.
A number of studies have shown significant increases in white blood cell counts and other measures of strengthened immunity in rodents given ashwagandha or certain chemicals extracted from the herb.

Due to its fairly high concentration of calcium, it should be used with caution by breast feeding mothers and those suffering from lung disease and kidney stones.
Magnesium is an element your body needs to function normally.
Magnesium oxide may be used for different reasons. Some people use it as an antacid to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion.
Magnesium oxide also may be used as a laxative for short-term, rapid emptying of the bowel (before surgery, for example).
It should not be used repeatedly. Magnesium oxide also is used as a dietary supplement when the amount of magnesium in the diet is not enough.
Ascorbic acid is another word for Vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is a naturally occurring organic compound with antioxidant properties. Ascorbic acid works to preserve food.
Vitamin E acetate, also called tocopherol acetate, is a dry form of vitamin E that is commonly referred to as tocopherols. The acetate form is an ester, which has a much greater stability than unesterified tocopherols. One of the principle differences between the dry and oil forms of this vitamin is that the former has no immediate antioxidant properties. An antioxidant is a substance present in many all natural foods that are rich in nutrients. They help to retard the aging of cells and play a vital role in protection against free radicals.
Niacinamide and niacin are slightly varying forms of vitamin B3.
Vitamin B3 is naturally in many foods like fish and green vegetables and is also found in many vitamin B complex supplements.
Reduced iron is used as a food additive to replenish a lack of iron in the body. Direct reduced iron is obtained from iron ore powder. The process involves heating and chemically reducing iron ore into iron via natural gas.

The doTerra Trim Shake is perhaps one of the best options we found in terms of a meal replacement shake. The protein blend used is made up of whey protein isolate, pea protein, and rice. These isolates are boosted with a variety of nutrients, vitamins and minerals as well as a natural appetite suppressant.
The flavor content is sweetened with stevia, which is an all natural sugar source. With so much working together for the good, our editors were surprised to find that there wasn’t anything bad to mention about the overall shake’s ingredients.
There’s nothing relegated as bad in the doTerra blend. The company has done a great deal of work to ensure that they offer a good protein blend, adding an appetite suppressant, and flavoring it with a natural sweetener. You can’t really go wrong with this option, which is why we have given it a top ranking.
We are a bit concerned about the suggested serving size 15.5grams being so small. This is not even half of the serving size of most shakes. Not sure if they are just doing some funky math and or they don’t really want you to have much nutrition per serving? We’d recommend at least two scoops of this shake, if not three, to even get going. doTerra Trim Shake has a lot to offer someone who wants to lose weight, and keep it off. The drawback here is the price tag, as this is one of the more cost prohibited options we’ve tested. That alone may drive many not to go forward with it.
